SenseCAP LoRaWAN S2102 light intensity sensor satisfies industrial wireless long-distance data acquisition with a wide measuring range from 0 to 160000 Lux, with an accuracy of ±5% and a resolution of 1 Lux. It enables low maintenance cost for its robustness, long battery usage, and built-in Bluetooth for OTA configuration and remote device management.

Light is an important element in the photosynthesis process, and indoor light intensity affects our life quality. SenseCAP wireless S2102 sensor can help you know the exact light intensity and provide optimal light conditions.

Simple Configuration

SenseCAP provides a scan-and-play experience to enable users to complete the whole configuration in 4 steps. It avoids time-consuming setup and works for individuals with less or no technical background to quickly get started with light intensity detection.

Powerful APP Support

SenseCAP Mate APP is a powerful tool for data visualization and remote device management. It makes sure users acquire and view data on clean interfaces while checking out devices' status through the built-in Bluetooth function. Moreover, users can set threshold values (focus on the data they need to take action for), time intervals (improve the battery efficiency), and set alarms if data is out of the safe range.

Minimal Maintenance Cost

SenseCAP S2102 can cover a transmission range of 2km in urban scenes and 10km in line-of-sight scenes while keeping lower power consumption during the transmission process. Remote monitoring through Bluetooth can also benefit large-scale deployment, it provides the biggest efficiency by saving time and labor needed to deploy and manage devices. Together with a replaceable battery that supports up to 10 years of usage and an industrial IP66 enclosure that supports -40 ~ 85℃ operating temperature and harsh environments, it meets the need for LoRaWAN®-based IoT solutions in the real world.

Compatible with WorldWide LoRaWAN® Networks

SenseCAP is supported by various LoRaWAN® networks to offer multiple servers connection and broad integration with IoT platforms. For instructions, please refer to this guide to learn about the separate network architecture while choosing different LoRaWAN® network servers and platforms.

High-performance Guarantee

SenseCAP S210x sensors went through 6 reliability tests before releasing and met the requirements to perform perfectly in extreme conditions. We ensure that the performance and durability of the sensors are consistent with their specifications throughout the complete lifecycle.

Application

  • Poultry farm and Livestock Shed

Light simulation influences the biological processes of living organisms. In poultry, light intensity and duration are two important factors that can impact poultry production. A moderate amount of suitable light intensity can benefit the growth of poultry thus increasing the yields.

  • Greenhouse

Photosynthesis influences plants' nutrition accumulation which is related to the yields of vegetables. As a necessary condition for photosynthesis, light is a key factor to influence vegetable production. Staying light intensity optimal can minimize the potential production problems caused by light intensity.

  • Hydroponics

Hydroponics is a new soilless cultivation method for plants. The light environment is one of the indispensable physical environment factors for plant growth and development. Only when light intensity is above the light compensation point can plants grow normally. User light intensity sensor to better manage the light intensity and duration to help plants grow well.

  • Building and Street Lighting

Light intensity affects controlling automatic lights in smart building solutions and smart streetlamps control systems. Using a light sensor to trigger a bulb when it is dark saves the slight hassle of turning on the lights and saves power in the day when the sun is bright enough.

How to Select Gateway

LoRaWAN® network coverage is required when using sensors. Here are two LoRaWAN® network options.

Option 1: Sensors work in areas covered by Helium Network(Check on Helium Explorer).
Option 2: Sensors work in a standard LoRaWAN network, like The Things Network, Loriot, Chirpstack, etc.
