The Grove RS232 is made for an easy microcontroller connection with your computer. It allows simple Arduino serial communication to take place, through plug-and-play instead of having to solder, use jumper wires, etc.
RS-232 has been a serial communication standard in the industry for years. It’s still widely used and commonly heard in the industry though it dates back to 1969. However, with technological advancements, there are now faster data transmission methods. The RS232 is defined as the “Interface between data terminal equipment and data communications equipment using serial binary data exchange”.
Most of the MCUs use TTL levels, and the computer serial port generally uses 232 levels. If we want the computer to communicate with the MCU, we need this Grove - 232. The communication between your Arduino boards and the computer will be exceptionally convenient with the integrated Grove interface
This module is based on Max3232, it supports multiple baud rate communication and theoretically supports communication up to 230400bps baud.
